Gorgoroth

A music band from Norway, playing their tracks in the style of black metal. Today they are known as one of the most popular and popular representatives of the genre.
The official establishment of the group dates back to 1992. The project is so named because of the novel The Lord of the Rings.
In 2007, there was a rift in the team. The frontman and the only member of the band who was a part of it on a permanent basis - Tiegs Roger, playing guitar, Tom Kato Wisnes, playing bass guitar and Gaal - standing on vocals, said that they have the rights to the name of the project.
The Norwegian Patent Office has agreed that these rights belong to King of Hell and Gaal. Infernus initiated a lawsuit in Oslo District Court.
Musicians have never published the text of their creative work, but even from the name of the tracks, we can understand that the main motive is Satanism.
The performers themselves have repeatedly voiced the fact that music in their work is secondary, and the key role falls on the anti-Christian direction of the compositions. In Sam Dunn's documentary, The Journey of a Metalhead, when asked, "What ideology will be featured in Gorgoroth's tracks?", Gaal gave the following answer: "Satan." In addition, the band gained immense popularity due to the many incidents and some criminal cases, the main participants of which were, directly, all the performers involved in this group.

In 1998, another music collection called Destroyer was recorded at this professional recording studio.
This collection is an album consisting of pre-created compositions. Different members of the team took part in its implementation. At the same time, the project had another person on vocals. Gaal performed only the title single.
Among other things, in the process of writing music, a huge contribution was made by another musician playing the guitar - Bollo Heyerdahl.
The album Destroyer became the first of two compilations in which the band used keyboards, which was facilitated by such a talented man as Ivar Bjornson from Enslaved.
After the collection was realized, the band began touring with performances at many festivals of such a style of music as metal.
Before the band started recording a new record in 1999, the lineup changed again. Ares, a bass player, and Vrolok, a drummer, left the band to form their own band, Aeternus. In addition to the new people who joined the band, it was also decided to change the style, or rather, to add to the classic black metal noise, dark ambient and industrial.
Similar changes could be heard in the two previous collections, but in the collection Incipit Satan the guys have already thoroughly departed from the stuck black metal.
